The
Mike Alesko Design Scholarship Committee is proud to announce Alieze
Ali as its second annual MADSF winner. Alieze received a scholarship
award to be used for tuition in the 2000-2001 academic year.
Alieze
Ali recently graduated with a BA in Integrative Arts from Pennsylvania
State University. She will be attending Fashion Institute of Design
and Merchandising in the fall to pursue her dream of becoming an
apparel designer. As an undergraduate, Alieze excelled in her design
and art classes. She designed costumes for several school plays
as well as designed the logo for the Multicultural Resource Center
Student Interest group. Additionally, Alieze worked with several
student organizations geared to help minorities and the disadvantaged.
Alieze was an Executive Officer of Black Student Union, worked on
the Student Advisory Board, was a peer counselor, and worked with
the Adult Literacy Program.
She currently volunteers much of her time at church to help the
youth, homeless and sick in her community. We are very pleased to
award the 2000-2001 MADSF scholarship to Alieze!
Congratulations to Alieze - We wish you continued success in all
your future endeavors! |
